Sharing watch lists with other users

When you set up alerts for watched documents, you can send and/or share your watch list with other users. Below, you will find details about how to send and share watch lists, as well as instructions on how to set up alerts for watch lists that are shared with you.

Sending watch lists to other users

You can send one or more watch lists to other users via email.

To email watch lists

  1. Select the lists that you want to send to one or more users by clicking the check boxes at the top of the lists.
  2. Click Actions > Send.  
  3. Complete the email form (From:, To:, Cc:, Subject:).
  4. Next to Encode as, click Excel (xlsx) or PDF to specify the format of the attachment that you are sending.
  5. (Optional) Under Message, type a message to recipients.
  6. Click Send.

Sharing watch lists with other users

You can share one or more watch lists with other users.

To share watch lists

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the lists that you want to share with other users by clicking the check boxes at the top of the lists, and then click Share Watch List.
    • Click on a watch list folder that you want to share.
  1. On the Share This... dialog box, choose the settings that you want.
  2. Click Apply.

Setting up notifications for watch lists that are shared with you

When someone shares a watch list with you, you will receive a one-time email notification that a watch list is being shared with you. However, the notification setting where you are alerted to changes or revisions made to documents in a watch list is not enabled. If you want to be notified about any changes to a shared watch list, you must manually enable the notification feature.

To turn on notifications for a watch list shared with you

  1. Go to the watch list that you want notifications for.
  2. Click on to turn on notifications (when you turn on notifications for a particular watch list, it looks like ).
