Get a Document Link
- At
the top of the Document Viewer, click the hyperlink icon. This opens the Document Get Link dialog box. Here you can choose between two kinds of links:- Most recent version: When this document is revised or updated in any way the link will take you to the most recent version of the document.
- This specific version: the link will always open to this exact edition of the document.
- You can select a specific page number to land on when the link is used - this is only available for This specific version links.
Get a Section-level Link
When you are working in a document and you want to return to or refer to a specific section of it in the future, you can get a link that leads you exactly to this section of the document. In the Document tab of the Document Viewer application:
- Highlight a passage within the document
Note: It is possible that your organization has configured security settings in your browser that prevent you from using the Copy button. In this case, you can highlight the link that is generated by and manually copy it.
When you use this link in the future, takes you to the exact section of document that you have highlighted.
Get a link to a document summary
When you don't have access to a document, but still want to get a link, you can get a link to the document summary. If you create such a link, and secure full access to this document at a later time, this link will take you to the full version of the document.
- In the Summary Window, click

- In the Get Link dialog box, select between the Most recent revision or This specific version of the document summary.
- Click Get Link.
- Click Copy to make a copy of the link.
Note: It is possible that your organization has configured security settings in your browser that prevent the Copy button from working. In this case, you can highlight the link and manually copy it.
