QPL (qualified products list)

A QPL (qualified products list) identifies products, and families of products, that have been examined, tested, and satisfy qualification requirements. This list also details the manufacturers and distributors approved to produce and distribute these products. A QPL is used by government agencies to locate approved sources of supply for approved items that an agency wants to procure. Not all Codes & Standards documents are associated with a QPL. Click on the QPL tab in the Document Viewer to view the list.

The QPL tab looks like this:

The following columns can appear in the table:

To view a QPL, click on the document number. If you have a subscription to it, a separate Document Viewer window will open to display this document. If you want to view a QPL, but do not have a subscription to it, a summary of it is displayed when you click on the document number.

QPLs are also listed in the Document History and Related Documents tabs of a document in the Document Viewer application. (If a QPL exist in correlation to documents from your query, you can access them in the search results in both the list of Answers &Citations or in a table format. QPLs are accessible from the summary window of a document. You can also access them in your Watchlists.)
