Starting from the Home Page

The Engineering Workbench dashboard is your central starting point for search, discovery, and recent activity.

Navigation

A vertical navigation bar on the left side of the screen provides access to core applications, you may see different options depending on your account subscription:

• Research – Search across standards, technical documents, and actionable engineering content.

• Browse eBooks – Browse and search Accuris knowledge collections, including books, journals, and articles.

• ASME BPVC – Access ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code content.

• NBBI-NBIC – Browse National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors documents.

• Patent Intelligence – Analyze technology and market trends using patent data.

• My Workspaces – View and manage saved projects, bookmarks, watch lists, and other saved items.

• Admin – Configure search experiences and manage feature settings (administrator access only).

Search Area

At the top of the page is the primary search area.

• Search bar – Enter natural-language queries or document numbers to search Engineering Workbench.

• Content filter – Select a search scope, such as Codes & Standards, before running a search.

• Search button – Executes the search across the selected content sources.

Welcome and Resources

• Welcome to Accuris Engineering Workbench – Displays platform announcements and high-level guidance.

• Explore PRO/Resources – If you have a EWB Professional account, this area provides links to videos, guides, and other learning materials, including the Accuris Customer Academy. If you have a Basic account, this area shows info about all of the benefits to upgrading to Engineering Workbench Professional.

Recent Activity

These panels help you quickly resume your work:

• Recent Documents – Documents you have recently viewed.
• Bookmarks – Documents you have bookmarked.
• Recent Searches – Queries you have recently run, with timestamps.

Each panel includes a See all option to view the full list.

Notifications

The Notifications panel highlights updates that require your attention:

• Watch Lists – Updates to documents you are tracking.
• Micro Alerts – Notifications from saved alerts.
• Shared Projects – Projects shared with you.
• Shared Annotations – Annotations shared by other users.

Unread counts are displayed for each notification type.

Pinned and Saved Items

Additional sections may appear below the main panels, including:

• Pinned Items - All of the items you have pinned will show here.
• Projects - All projects within My Workspace will show here.
• Watch Lists - All watch lists from My Workspace will show here.

These sections provide quick access to frequently used or important items.

This section dynamically reflects your activity, subscriptions, and permissions, giving you fast access to search, content, and updates relevant to your work.
